Oops! Another Highlighter palette fell in to my collection and this time it’s the new Becca x Chrissy Tiegen Glow Face Palette.
If you don’t know who Chrissy Tiegen is she is the wife of John Legend and she is the lady on lip sync battle with LL Cool J that sort of gets the crowd going (I actually don’t know why Chrissy is on the show but let’s just say she makes me laugh and that’s enough).
I didn’t buy this because of Chrissy’s name, I bought this as I have the Jaclyn Hill palette and I love it and I also had £15 off at Space NK so I decided to purchase it. It’s available at Space NK and Cult Beauty here in the UK.
Firstly I would like to talk about the packaging. It’s rose gold and it has a gorgeous pinky gold marble. It’s very very similar to the Jaclyn Hill palette.
I thought I would bring you review of the highlighters in this blog post, I think the bronze and blush need a post all on their own.
The Rose Gold is on the top right and Beach Nectar on the bottom right with the Chrissy heart and Becca imprinted on.
I am under no illusion that I am a very pale in comparison to Chrissy so knew this might not be quite right for my skin tone but as usual I don’t care – I will make it work!
The two highlighters are the Rose Gold highlighter which is in Becca’s permanent collection and is Chrissy’s favourite highlighter and the new and currently exclusive to this palette, Beach Nectar.
As you can see from the swatches Rose Gold is so much darker than Beach nectar but they have similar tones. Beach nectar works perfectly on me, all you need is a light hand if you are fair like me, if you’re even more fair then you could add a lighter highligher (I would choose Ice Kiss from Makeup Revolution to add in to any darker highlighters).
The texture is what you would expect from Becca highlights, soft and when applied they are almost wet like. I love that there is no glitter in her highlights.
This palette is gorgeous and no, I didn’t need new highlighters but these are different to anything in my collection so I am really happy I have this.
I will bring you the Bronze and Blush in another post and also a comparison with the Jaclyn Hill palette.
Did you pick this up? What do you think of this palette?
