The Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette is such an adorable item in my collection.
This was only released in the U.S. but I was lucky enough to get my hands on it from one of the facebook makeup selling groups I am on.
As usual the packaging is super cute, as with all Too Faced products. It’s a little slim tin with a magnetic closure and has a cute design of a piece of bread with peanut butter on and ‘jelly’ (or jam here in the UK) splogged to look like eyes and a mouth.
When you open it up you are HIT by a scent of chocolate and peanut butter, like a Reeces peanut butter cup.
Then you see the lovely shades throughout.
I know this looks like a well used palette and it really is well loved so apologies for the state it’s in but I will take you through each row.
The top row has a lovely light peach shade which can be used all over the lid, the shade peanut butter is next to it, a lovely warm crease shade, matte and the final shade is a shimmer shade in a lovely copper.
The second row is a gorgeous shimmery soft buttery gold-ish colour. It is my favourite in the palette – I haven’t seen anything like this before in any of my palettes and I absolutely love this all over the lid. The middle shade is a shimmery orange. So warm and lovely and the right hand side is a glittery dark purple.
The final row is a wonderful base shadow, matte, the middle shade is a bright purple but probably the least pigmented in the palette and finally the gorgeous matte orange on the bottom right. This is beautifully soft and warms up any look.
The whole palette is really beautiful and the deep purple does work well to smoke out the looks I created, however I think the bottom right shade could have been slightly deeper to give a little more diversity.
I do tend to take this travelling with me as I really find it can be an every day palette but also jazzed up for the evening too.
80% of the shadows are what you would expect from the Too Faced range, buttery smooth, long lasting, blendable but some of them are a little disappointing. However, I can make them work.
Have you got any of the Too Faced smaller palettes? Have you got this one? What do you think?
