Review | The Sweet Peach Glow Palette

LeahXL/ Makeup

sweet peach glow 1

To say the release of the Sweet Peach Glow palette was the most exciting thing to happen this year is an understatement and now I have used it for a few weeks I want to tell you about how I feel.

This is the face palette that pairs with my favourite eyeshadow palette of 2016, the Sweet Peach palette from Too Faced.

It was exclusive at Debenhams but isn’t currently on the site, whether it has sold out or they are awaiting restock I am unsure but keep an eye out on their social media as they always update there.

Product description (from the Too Faced Website)

Sweet Peach Glow illuminating, blushing and bronzing palette is infused with the juicy scent and skin-loving essence of peach to give your face a radiant natural peach glow.

  • Infused with the skin-loving essence of peach
  • Smells like peaches
  • Soft blush, bronzer and highlighter that complement all skin tones

Packaging

As with all other Too Faced products the packaging is cute! It’s a metal case with a magnetic closure. It has a beautiful ombre peach design and complements the original sweet peach palette

Texture

The texture of the powders are smooth with no fall out. They aren’t the softest powders but actually I prefer that so it doesn’t create any ‘dust’ like other softer powder products.

Scent

This does have the same peachy scent as the eyeshadow palette but it is less powerful. You have to get your nose right in to the powder to smell it. Some people may enjoy that as the eyeshadow palette is REALLY strong, you can smell it outside the packing but that’s not the case for this palette.

Result

I will talk about each shade so it’s easier:

Bronzer: This is a shimmery (but not glittery) bronzer. It is SO light. In fact on deeper skintones I think it would be a highlight rather than a bronzer.

Blush: A Beauty sheeny peach colour. This again has a glow to it (without the glitter) and gives a lovely peach flush to the cheeks. Again if you’re darker than me (and I use Ivory foundation) you may not be able to see it so well on your skin.

Highlighter: A really good champagne highlighter for light skin tones. It may be a tiny bit icy on darker skin tones but it works lovely on mine. It’s a lovely sheen, no glitter in sight. It’s not as vibrant as Champage pop for example but it really is great for every day and that lovely natural glow.

All the powders are buildable though so they can intensify.

Final thoughts

Although this is beautiful for me I don’t think it would work on medium to deep skin tones as it claims. I would love to hear from those of you who bought it who are of a deeper tone and are able to use it though.

I am really happy I have it though as it fits in well with my collection and it does work for me. It would be nice if Too Faced made 2 other shades for different skin tones, I think it would do really well.

Have you bought this? What did you think?

I know this sounds daft but I really want to see this palette just so I can smell it!! it looks beautiful but the scent is what appeals to me the most!

After reading your review I would be interested to hear from others with darker skin tones who have used this also. It seems to work well for you, but just looking at the shades, it does seem like it wouldn’t work well for those with darker skin tones. I’m glad that you liked it though x

I love the look of this and I love the idea of these being scented, I might have to pop into Debenhams in Oxford Street and check it out x

I used to have this pallet but gave it away as I never used it. Since my little girl has been born there is no time for full face makeup anymore haha! I’m kind of regretting it now thought as it was a pretty decent palette!

Luckily I am fairer skin toned, so this would be the ideal palette for me, and looks very much like the shades I go for normally. I have not tried this before, but will look out for it x

I’ve heard so much hype about this product but not sure whether it’s overpriced for what it is! I reckon I would just be sold at the scent of the product but there are definitely some great shades for the Spring and Summer within the palette!

I don’t really know much about makeup, but my wife has been playing around with different colours and palettes, so she might be interested in this. Thanks.

That looks like a really cute palette and I think it would work pretty well for me, as I have light skin.

My skin is not fair, it’s more of an olive colour, so it would be good to see if this palette would work on my skin.

This palette is really adorable I do like the packaging. I haven’t used any too faced products before. I have very pale skin so this would probably look good on my skin.

I agree and its a shame because I am a fan of Too Faced. I have olive skin and it looked quite icy on me but it looks lovely on fairer skin tones!
