• Unique last-minute gifts for your nearest and dearest

When your loved ones birthdays come around, it can be difficult to know what to get them. Some people just seem to have everything that they could ever need, and buying a thoughtful gift is a task that proves more difficult than you first imagined. However, there are plenty of gifts out there that will really put a smile on the faces of your friends and relatives, so why not try out some of these unique present ideas if you’re looking to show them how much you care on their big day?

    For the traveller…

We all have that friend or family member who disappears to Asia for 6 months, and comes back with lots of stories to tell. What on earth can you buy this person, especially if they’re fond of travelling light? You have to think practical here, and decide what they’re really going to need and appreciate. We all know what it can be like to lose one earring, so why not get them a travel jewelry organizer if this would prove useful to them? There are plenty of things out there for travel bugs, so do a little research to impress your globetrotter friends and relatives.

    For the vaper…

Vaping has gained popularity recently, with many people claiming that it has helped them to quit smoking. Others just do it for fun (as you can get vapes which don’t contain nicotine), so whatever the reaso nis behind your loved ones vape-loving, why not get them some cool vape accessories or some tasty e-liquid? There are a whole host of flavors to choose from, such as Fantasi, which literally tastes like that yummy soda drink we all know so well. Whichever one you choose, you’ll be making the family vaper happy for some time, so look into these great gifts!

    For the graduate…

Graduating from college is a great feeling, but it can lead to you coming back to the real world with a bump. Who knew that you had to get a job so quickly, and that it would be such a mind-numbing experience? However, there are some upsides. Although you’d probably think that a fresh graduate would have no interest in ever seeing a book again, a perfect gift idea is a relaxing book that they’ve always wanted to read, but never had time to because of the excessive amount of academic reading they’ve had to do. For the graduate, why not make reading fun again?

So, there are many unique gift ideas out there for your loved ones, whatever their personality is, and wherever their enjoyments lie. For the traveller, look out for something more practical (that isn’t hard to tow around everywhere), and for the vaper, why not get a unique e-liquid flavor for them to enjoy? When it comes to the graduate, buying books that they’ve always wanted to read but never had time to would be a great idea.Think wisely, and get some unique gifts for your loved ones!

    Christmas In July

    Christmas 1

I know what you’re thinking, Christmas? In July? Well it happened! I was invited to an event recently where we got to see what’s coming this Christmas, In July!

There were many stands including lots of online retailers including firebox, moonpig, crabtree and evelyn, Wunder2, Teapigs, R Chocolate, National Trust and many many more.

It was honestly a feast for the eyes and I will share many pictures with you of the sort of things you might find.

The best thing about this is that I was able to connect with some brands that would be able to help with my gift guides for Christmas.

I haven’t done these before but I know lots of people find them useful so I am going to do them for different interests, for example, for the foodie, for the beauty junkie, for the gadget mad etc…

Although there were many amazing brands there, the best part of the whole event was I got to spend time with the lovely Charlie from Gin Fuelled Blue Stockings blog.

We have spent time online chatting but never met in real life and I am really pleased we did finally meet.

If you have a penchant for gin (or any booze) you have to go and visit her blog. She is like the rainman of gin. I actually adore her.

We did go out for dinner too which I will do a review of later on the blog but I just wanted to give you a lowdown on my day.

Space NK Luxury Beauty Wish List

    space nk 1

It’s only recently that I have been able to venture in to the luxury side of makeup and I have to say I am really happy with the items I have so far so I wanted to put together a wish list for the ultimate luxury beauty store in the UK, Space NK.

Please don’t be mistaken, I still love budget brands but there was something in the luxury packaging that lures me in.

So when Really Ree posted a video of the luxury advent calendar that was free with £250 worth of purchases I wanted to grab this offer and buy some presents for Christmas at the same time.

So what was on my wishlist that I could put together for £250? The below came to exactly £250 and the advent calendar did come free. Honestly I can’t wait for it to arrive so I can review the little bits.

I wanted to start with something for the skin and the NUXE Micellar Cleansing Water (£14) with Rose petals really caught my eye. I’m not sure of the ingredients but I have just bought another micellar water recently from Boots which I think might be comparible.

    space nk 3

I have never ever tried anything as luxurious as this duo (£35) from Laura Mercier but I have heard such good things. I’m not a massive fan of sweet scents normally but my favourite dessert of all time is creme brûlée so I thought this would be a great idea, either that or it will be a wonderful gift.

    space nk 4

This sweet little Diptyque holiday fragrance set (£75) is perfect for wanting to try their scents but also if you wanted some lovely luxury stocking fillers for your girlfriends or Sisters/Sister-In-Laws etc then this would be a lovely way to get them something beautiful to try.

    space nk 5

I already own the large Moonstone shimmering skin perfector in liquid form which I adore but I have always been keen to try the pressed powder since trying champagne pop. This cute little set is £20 and honestly would be such a lovely gift for any of your pale to medium toned friends.

    space nk 6

I haven’t bought much from Nars before however in my recent (and first) Seephora haul I had a dual intensity shadow in a set which I am absolutely impressed by in Himalia. When I saw this limited edition Give In Take Dual-Intensity Eye & Cheek Palette by Sarah Moon  (£45) in the dual intensity formula I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

    space nk 7

The Laura Mercier Caviar sticks have started to gain a it of a reputation in the beauty community for being amazing one and done shadow sticks and good long-lasting bases so when I saw the holiday set with 4 mini’s (£29) in I just couldn’t resist. This is also an amazing stocking filler for friends or if, like me, you have two Sister-in-Laws you can split it so they get two colours each.

space nk 8And the final but exciting holiday set is this Nars Mind Game Mini Velvet Lip Glide Collection by Sarah Moon (£32). I have heard these are a lovely formula and with them being mini, once again, you can split between friends / family or you can try out different colours without spending a fortune.

Then after spending all that money you get the following for free, which I believe is still available in stores but not online.

The set includes the following brands:

    • REN
    • Caudalie
    • Radical
    • Kat Burki
    • Sunday Riley
    • Aromatherapy Associates
    • Rodial
    • Goldfaden MD
    • Diptyque
    • Malin & Goetz
    • Strivectin
    • Chantecaille
    • Byredo
    • Oribe
    • WEI
    • NARS
    • Laura Mercier
    • 111 Skin
    • Nuxe
    • Eve Lom
    • Cowshed
    • and a £50 Space NK voucher (so that will be spent on something exciting too!)

Have you gone luxury yet? What do you want for Christmas that is a little higher end?
